Do we accept Insurance?

Being an out-of-network therapy provider means that the therapist does not have a direct contract with a client’s health insurance company. Clients who see an out-of-network provider typically pay for services upfront and may submit a claim to their insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on their plan.

• No direct billing to insurance: Clients pay the full session fee out-of-pocket.
• Reimbursement may be possible: Some insurance plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network services if the client submits a superbill (a detailed invoice).
• Greater flexibility: The provider does not have to follow insurance-mandated treatment limitations, diagnoses, or session caps.
• HSA/FSA eligible: Many clients use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to cover costs.

Since Sonder Behavioral Health does not accept insurance, we offer several alternative options to make therapy more accessible and flexible for clients:

• Intern Therapist at a Reduced Rate: Clients can work with a highly trained intern therapist at a lower session cost while still receiving quality care.
• Sliding Scale Options: We offer income-based pricing for clients who may need financial accommodations.
• HSA/FSA Payments: Clients can use their Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)to cover therapy expenses.
