Lizzie Nichols, LPC-MHSP

Lizzie is a trauma-informed therapist who brings warmth, realness, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and has provided care in residential treatment, community mental health, and private practice settings. Lizzie is dedicated to creating a safe, affirming, and collaborative space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. She works with a diverse range of clients, including adolescents, adults, and couples of all structures (monogamous, polyamorous, LGBTQIA+), and has a particular passion for helping people navigate the messy, meaningful parts of being human.

Her clinical focus includes ADHD, anxiety, neurodivergence, relationship and intimacy struggles, religious deconstruction, sexual shame and dysfunction, substance use, and the lingering impact of childhood trauma or family of origin wounds. Lizzie also has experience working with men and women who feel pressure to keep it all together on the outside while silently battling grief, disconnection, or internalized shame. She understands how patterns rooted in attachment, trauma, or identity can show up in relationships, and helps clients untangle those patterns with compassion and care.

Her therapy style is eclectic, flexible, and grounded in both evidence-based and holistic approaches. Lizzie draws from modalities such as attachment theory, somatic work, parts work, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral interventions.

At the heart of her practice is a belief in authenticity, relational safety, and cultivating self-compassion. She works alongside clients as they reconnect with their truth, challenge old narratives, and move toward more empowered, fulfilling lives.
